Puentes Network

INTRODUCTION

The Puentes Network was founded on the vision of creating a more equitable, connected, and thriving community by recognizing and empowering the people who lead change from within. Established through collaboration among Yolo County agencies in 2012, Puentes has grown into a network dedicated to uplifting community members who demonstrate leadership, advocate for equitable access to resources and opportunities, and work to strengthen the well-being of their communities. Rooted in the belief that community members are powerful agents of personal and collective change, Puentes celebrates the knowledge, lived experiences, and contributions of those who champion equity, build connections, and inspire others to take action. Through collaboration, shared resources, training, and partnerships, the Network honors and supports community leaders whose dedication to service and advocacy helps break down barriers, foster belonging, and create lasting, positive change. Like the bridge its name represents, Puentes connects people, organizations, and resources while recognizing the individuals whose leadership helps build stronger, more inclusive, and equitable communities for all.
