Please join us for Pizza for Producers, a community event hosted by AgrAbility in collaboration with the Center for Land-Based Learning, for farmer veterans or aspiring ones.

Pizza for Producers offers an opportunity to connect with fellow veterans, explore valuable resources, and discover new opportunities in agriculture. Bring your kids along for a festive evening that includes pumpkin carving and wood-fired pizzas.

You'll also have a chance to hear from Alejandro (Alex) Jauregui, the owner of Fury Bees and Pollination, who will share business insights from his journey in agriculture and bee keeping.

During Alejandro’s 11 years of service, he did two tours in Iraq and two in Afghanistan, serving a total of 42 months in combat. During his fourth combat tour he stepped on a dismounted improvised explosive device (IED) in Zhari Afghanistan resulting in the loss of both of his legs, two fingertips, most of his hearing and a traumatic brain injury. His military awards include the Afghanistan campaign medal (2 nd award) Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation medal w/Valor device, Valorous Unit Awards (2nd award), Army Commendation Medals (6 th award), Combat Infantry Badge, among many others. Being from a small agricultural town in Northern California, Alejandro understands the important role that honeybees play in producing healthy crops. This respect for and
understanding of the agricultural community led to the formation of Fury Bees and Pollination. Fury Bees began operations in March 2015 with just 100 hives. SSG Jauregui, and his brother Christian Jauregui, now have over 1200 hives. When Alex is not working on the bees he spends his time skydiving!

We're so excited to have Alex join us and look forward to connect with other veteran farmers in the region!
