Event Date
Join us on Saturday, July 18, 2026 for a special celebration of California agriculture at this exciting new event! Designed to connect fairgoers with the agricultural community, the event will showcase the people, products, innovations, and traditions that make California agriculture an essential part of our state's heritage and economy. Agricultural organizations, producers, and industry partners will have the opportunity to engage directly with attendees, share their stories, and highlight the important role agriculture plays in our daily lives.
Throughout the day, participants will have multiple opportunities to connect with fairgoers and celebrate the diversity and abundance of California agriculture:
California Agricultural Heritage Club Luncheon
12:30 PM
The day begins with the California Agricultural Heritage Club Luncheon, which honors farms, ranches, and agricultural businesses that have been continuously operating for 100, 125, 150, or 175 years. These multi-generational operations represent an important part of California's agricultural legacy, and we would appreciate your help identifying and recognizing them.
If your organization has members who may qualify, please consider nominating them or forwarding this information to eligible farms, ranches, and agricultural businesses within your network.

Ag Day Showcase
2:30 PM – 5:00 PM
The centerpiece of the afternoon will be the Ag Day Showcase in the Livestock Pavilion, where agricultural organizations from across California will have the opportunity to engage with thousands of fairgoers and share their role in California agriculture. Space is limited for this inaugural year, and exhibit spaces will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
Celebrating Agriculture Social
5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Following the showcase, join fellow agricultural leaders, exhibitors, legislators, and industry partners for a Celebrating Agriculture Social at the Forestry Center, located next to The Farm at the State Fair. This will be a great opportunity to network, build connections, and celebrate California agriculture with colleagues from across the industry.
Grand Champion Drive
7:00 PM
The day concludes with one of the most exciting days of the California State Fair as the champion market steer, lamb, goat, and hog compete for Grand Champion honors in the Grand Champion Drive. It's a fitting way to end a day dedicated to celebrating California agriculture and the next generation of agricultural leaders. Whether you choose to exhibit, attend, nominate a Heritage Club honoree, or simply join us for part of the day, we hope you will help us make the first Ag Day at the California State Fair a success.
